Canada’s Summit Aviation has taken delivery of Avro RJ85 G-CHKP (msn E2302) as C-FLRJ. A former Brussels Airlines example, she had been stored at Southend since September 2012. She was taken out of storage in May, and prepared for delivery by Inflite. She was rolled out in Summit ‘s colors in early July, and registered to Summit Air/8199400 Canada Inc. on 18 September. She departed on her delivery flight on 22 September. After a delay in Reykjavik due to engine problems, she continued her ferry flight on 26 September, but once again had problems and diverted to Keflavik. Following an engine change, she resumed her trip on 3 October, arriving at Calgary on that same day without further problems. She is to have a gravel kit installed before entering service.
