Cello Aviation has returned Avro RJ85 G-LENM (msn E2273) to lessor Falko. Cello had been operating her since April 2013, in partnership with Chevron Aviation Services. Unlike Cello’s VIP-configured BAe 146-200, G-RAJJ (msn E2108), she is configured with 82 seats, making her attractive for ACMI work on behalf of other airlines. Indeed, G-LENM’s service included two long periods flying for BA CityFlyer, most recently from 17 September to 17 October. But the work she attracted was apparently insufficient to justify retaining her, especially after Cello added a Boeing 737-400, which offers considerably greater range. So at the completion of her latest BA CityFlyer lease, she was ferried from Birmingham to Cranfield, where she will be prepared for a new customer. Cello continues to operate G-RAJJ.
