ASL takes over Pan-Air

Ireland’s ASL Aviation Group has acquired BAe 146QT operator Pan Air Líneas Aéreas from TNT Express, as well as former BAe 146QT operator TNT Airways. TNT Express had to sell its airline operations as a condition of its own sale to FedEx, as European Union regulations require airlines to be at least 50% owned and effectively controlled by one or more EU member states and/or nationals of EU member states. Under ASL ownership, Pan Air has been renamed ASL Airlines Spain. It will continue to operate on behalf of the new FedEx-TNT combination with no interruption. ASL Airlines Spain currently operates eight BAe 146-300QTs, and has a single 146-200QT in storage.
