Australia’s Pionair put BAe 146-200QT VH-SFV (msn E2086) into service for Virgin Australia Cargo on 19 September. She joins BAe 146-200QC VH-SIF, who has been operating for Virgin Australia Cargo since July. VH-SFV is a former Pan Air Líneas Aéreas freighter acquired from lessor Tronos. She had been stored at Summerside since May 2015. She was registered to Pionair 19 August, and departed Summerside on 24 August, arriving at Pionair’s base at Sydney Bankstown on 31 August. After some pre-service work had been completed, she flew a flight test on 17 September, then positioned to Adelaide on the same day in readiness for entry into service. Her first service for Virgin Australia Cargo was VA9570/VA9567 Adelaide-Melbourne-Brisbane-Townsville. Pionair is also planning to add a third BAe 146QT.
