KLM subsidiary KLM Cityhopper will wet lease two Avro RJ85s from CityJet beginning on 15 May. The two RJ85s will operate four flights a day from Amsterdam to London City, complementing the four flights operated by the KLM Cityhopper’s own Embraer 190s, as well as flights to Birmingham, Hamburg, Bordeaux, and Belfast on behalf of KLM. CityJet itself had been operating eight flights a day between London City and Amsterdam, but cut those back to four a day in early April after KLM Cityhopper’s re-entered the route. KLM Cityhopper operated its flight on 6 February, increasing the frequency to four a day by late March. KLM and CityJet will also expand their codesharing partnership, with CityJet codesharing on several routes operated by KLM. The RJ85s will apparently retain CityJet colors.
