A Panamanian company, Albo Jet, is suing Bolivia’s EcoJet over three of its Avro RJ85s. Albo Jet claims to have acquired the titles to the three former Lufthansa CityLine RJ85s, then on lease to EcoJet, from Germany’s FlairJet in 2015. EcoJet has responded that it acquired the aircraft on financing leases and now owns them, having completed the required payments. Bolivia’s DGAC has also entered the dispute, examining in particular whether RJ85 CP-2814 (msn E2317) was properly imported into the country. A hearing on this issue, initially scheduled for 3 August, was postponed to 18 September.
