Cello BAe 146-200 G-RAJJ at Birmingham (Dave L — CVT-wings/Coptercrazy)
Germany’s WDL Aviation has bought Cello Aviation‘s BAe 146-200 G-RAJJ (msn E2108). In recent months, Cello has struggled to find work for this VIP-configured aircraft, even as its regularly-configured Avro RJ100, G-ILLR (msn E3379), has been steadily employed on ACMI contracts. G-RAJJ had been ferried to Cranfield for a C Check on 2 January, and had returned to Birmingham on 15 February, where she had remained idle. In view of her forthcoming sale, she was ferried to Prestwick on 13 March for the cabin to be reconfigured. She will join WDL’s three active BAe 146 as D-AZFR, with her registration reflecting the airline’s new owner, the Zeitfracht Group. Like the airline’s other 146s, she will be operated on behalf of EasyJet.
