Jota Aviation is operating Avro RJ85 G-JOTR (msn E2294) on behalf of CityJet, to help cover some of the latter’s capacity shortfalls. She positioned to Dublin on 26 May, and then began operating CityJet’s services between Dublin and London City the following day. This is the third time that G-JOTR has flown for CityJet this month. She had also operated for the Irish airline between London City and Dublin on 2 and 3 May, and then again on 21 and 22 May. In between, she has also flown for bmi Regional, on 6 May, British Airways, from 7 to 10 May, and then again on 14-15 May, and for Hop!, from 23 to 26 May — in addition to performing several charters. In contrast, the airline’s RJ100 G-JOTS (msn E3355) has had a far more stable lifestyle, flying exclusively for Hop! — and almost solely on the Lyon-Pau route. BAe 146-200 G-SMLA (msn E2047), on the other hand, has had a quiet month, with several charters supplemented by a single short lease to British Airways, on 15-16 May, and a single Dublin-London City sector for CityJet, on 26 May.
