After a prolonged stay in Canada, EcoJet Avro RJ85 CP-2814 (msn E2317) returned to Bolivia in late July. She had arrived at TronosJet’s facility at Summerside for C Check on 19 February, but the work took a longer than expected as she required an extensive overhaul of her landing gear as a result of being used on gravel runways. The work completed, she finally departed Summerside on 27 July, routing via Freeport and Cali and reaching Cochabamba on 28 July. She arrived just in time to step back into service to cover for technical problems with CP-3082 (msn E2292), who diverted to Cochabamba while operating 8J 680 from Trinidad to Riberalta. So CP-2814 operated 8J 483 to Santa Cruz, 8J 896 back to Cochabamba, and 8J 989 to Santa Cruz again, where she spent the night. CP-3082 and CP-2889 (msn E2269) had been operating as many as six roundtrips a day; CP-2814’s return allows them to cut back to a more reasonable 3-4 roundtrips a day.
