Cobham Aviation operated a mini-airlift to Melbourne on 28 September, with no less than four of its Avro RJs flying charters to Essendon Airport bringing fans to watch the 2018 Australian Football League Grand Final between the West Coast Eagles and the Collingwood Football Club, held the following day (West Coast defeated Collingwood by five points). RJ85 VH-NJU (msn E2287) and RJ100s VH-NJP (msn E3354) and VH-NJQ (msn E3328) all arrived from Perth, while RJ100 VH-NJE (msn E3384) arrived from Adelaide.
