Pionair BAe 146QC VH-SAZ at Auckland (Mark Mabey)
Pionair is operating BAe 146-200QC VH-SAZ (msn E2148) on behalf of Parcelair, a joint venture between NZ Post and Freightways. Parcelair chartered the 146QT to help cover capacity shortfalls due to two of its three Boeing 737-400F freighters being down for maintenance. VH-SAZ crossed the Tasman Sea from Sydney to Auckland on 9 July, then entered service on the following day, flying from Auckland to Christchurch. She is the first 146 to visit New Zealand since the departure of Vincent Aviation‘s 146-200 ZK-ECO (msn E2130) in April 2015.
