Over a year after Lufthansa announced its intention of re-aligning its regional operations under the Lufthansa Regional brand, the first Avro RJ85s of CityLine have been repainted. They now sport large ‘Lufthansa Regional’ titles under the window, with smaller ‘Operated by CityLine’ titles above. They retain the standard Lufthansa tail logo. CityLine operates eighteen RJ85s. Eurowings‘ eight BAe 146s (four series 200s and four series 300s) are also to be brought under the Lufthansa Regional brand, but none have been repainted to date. Lufthansa is understood to be negotiating with BAE Systems for several additional 146s for operation by Eurowings and Air Dolomiti.
