OzJet takes off, sans BAe 146s

After a long gestation period, Australian start-up OzJet finally took to the skies on 29 November. Although the airline had intended to begin service with BAe 146s, its current fleet consists of Boeing 737-200s provided by parent European Aviation. European Skybus, another airline owned by OzJet owner Paul Stoddart, has entered into lease-purchase agreements for two former Ansett BAe 146-300s, ZK-NZG (msn E3135) and ZK-NZJ (msn E3147), but no plans to place them into service have been announced.
