MDLR Airlines runs into regulatory trouble

Avro RJ operator MDLR Airlines has been instructed to cease scheduled flights by the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). MDLR began operations on 27 April, with a daily roundtrip from Chandigarh to Delhi. The service was extended to Ranchi on 15 May, and will soon be further extended to Calcutta. The airline is only licenced to operate charters, however. Despite the warning, MDLR continues to take bookings on its website. MDLR flies two Avro RJ70s, VT-MDL (msn E1229) and VT-MDM (msn E1230).
