Nex Aviation began operations on July 1 with a flight from Galway to Faro. The Irish start-up flies from Waterford and Galway to Faro, Malaga, and Bordeaux on behalf of Irish tour operator Slatterys Sun. Routing is in a ‘W’ pattern, with flights originating in Galway and returning there in the evenings. Flights to Faro, for example, are routed Galway-Faro-Waterford-Faro-Galway. Each destination is served twice a week. Former Flightline BAe 146-200 G-TBIC (msn E2025) is being used. She is currently being flown on Atlantic Airways‘s AOC, as Nex have not yet received their own. Services had been scheduled to start on 22 June, but delays in obtaining the necessary authorizations forced a postponement, with Titan covering some services in the interim. The current schedule will be flown until September, at which point other destinations will be served. The airline was initially to be known as FlyU.
