WDL BAe 146 D-AMGL flying for SAS (Markus Hahn)
German BAe 146 operator WDL Aviation is operating three BAe 146s on behalf of SAS, on routes previously served by that airline’s Bombardier Q400s. SAS grounded their Q400s in October 2007 following a series of landing incidents. WDL had been due to start flying for SAS on 9 January with two 146s, but start-up was eventually delayed until 26 January. Series 200 D-AMGL (msn E2055) had the SAS logo and “Flying for Scandinavian Airlines” titles applied at Köln, on 25 January, and was then ferried to Copenhagen. She was joined by series 300 D-AWBA (msn E3134), who had been painted in the same colors. Series 100 D-AWDL (msn E1011) is also due to join them.
