Brussels Airlines and Hewa Bora have revised their plans for AirDC, the new airline they are establishing by to operate in the Democratic Republic of Congo. AirDC was to have been registered in Mauritius, to avoid the problems of a Congolese registration (all Congolese airlines are barred from Europe). The Congolese government objected to this approach, however, so the decision was made to register the new airline in Belgium. AirDC’s start-up has been repeatedly delayed. Two BAe 146s have already been painted in full AirDC colors, but they remain in storage at Brussels.
