Another profitable year for Atlantic Airways

At a time when most airlines seem to be hemorrhaging money, BAe 146 and Avro RJ operator Atlantic Airways announced it had recorded its 14th successive annual profit in 2008, earning 15 million Danish kroner (US$2.6 million) after tax. The airline operates three BAe 146-200s, two Avro RJ85s, and two RJ100s. Four aircraft operate Atlantic’s own services to the Faroe Islands and three are operated from Copenhagen on behalf of SAS. The airline celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2008, having operated its first flight on 28 March 1988, with BAe 146-200 OY-CRG (msn E2075).
