Italian airline Club Air was formally declared bankrupt by a tribunal in Milano on 3 June. The airline was operating an Avro RJ70 and an RJ85 when its license was withdrawn by the Italian civil aviation authority, ENAC, in May 2008, because of of its continued financial and organizational troubles, its failure to meet a variety of regulatory requirements, and its inadequate treatment of passenger and suppliers. Since then, RJ85 I-CLBA (msn E2300) has found a new home with Italiatour Airlines. Sistership RJ70 I-FASI (msn E1160) was to have joined her, but technical problems and Club Air’s legal travails prevented it. She remains parked at Verona’s Villafranca Airport.
