The operations of South Africa’s Airlink were thrown into disarray after its fleet of Jetstream was grounded by the country’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on December 23. The grounding order followed a string of incidents with the type. The airline’s BAe 146 fleet continues to operate, as do its Embraer 135s. Airlink operates four BAe 146-200s, as well as two Avro RJ85s on lease from Safair.
