Avro RJ85 being prepared for Jagson Airlines

Jagson Airlines Avro RJ85 G-CFZM at Bournemouth (A.J. Best)

On 9 December, Avro RJ85 G-CFZM (msn E2299) was ferried from Kemble, where she had been stored, to Bournemouth for painting into the colors of India’s Jagson Airlines. She was then to have returned to Kemble, but that airport was closed because of snow, so on 17 December she was ferried instead to Southend for pre-delivery checks. The former Royal Jet RJ85 was purchased by the Indian regional airline, and should be delivered shortly. The RJ85 has been fitted with only 80 seats (8 in business class and 72 in economy) to take advantage of a government rule waiving parking and navigation charges and reducing the fuel surcharge for aircraft weighing 40 tons or less and with 80 or less seats.
