The four Avro RJ85s intended for Venuezuelan airline Línea Aérea Mérida Internacional de Aviación C.A. (LaMia) have been re-registered in Aruba. All four former CityJet aircraft – EI-RJK (msn E2348), -RJL (msn E2349), -RJM (msn E2350), and -RJV (msn E2370) – have remained in storage at Norwich since last year, under the care of KLM UK. Several delivery dates have come and gone, as the Venezuelan airline struggles to obtain the necessary authorizations. In early August, their Irish registrations were taped over. EI-RJL has had the registration P4-GIU applied, but the others have not yet been marked, though the registrations P4-ARI, -LOW, and -TIZ are known to have been reserved.
