Asian Express‘ three Avro RJ100s and single RJ85 are now flying for Iran’s Qeshm Air, as are its three Airbus A320s. They were presented at an official ceremony held at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport on 3 July — along with five Airbus A300-600s and four Fokker 100s, which are also joining Qeshm Air’s fleet. The Avro RJs still carried Tajik registrations and wore Asian Express colors complete with Asian Express’ URL on the aft fuselage, but otherwise had no titles. Their color scheme did not stand out, however, as Asian Express’s colors — by a truly remarkable coincidence — are identical to those of Qeshm Air.
