Two Avro RJ70s parted out at Bacău

The world’s already very limited supply of Avro RJ70s (ony 12 were built) suffered a major reduction when two RJ70s that had been in storage at Bacău were parted out during December. G-BZFA (msn E1223) and G-CDOE (msn E1224) had been the first two RJ70s built, in 1993, and had both been delivered to Business Express. They had eventually both ended up with Transwede, who had operated them on its own services and a variety of ACMI contracts. They have both been stored in Bacău since early 2010, following Transwede’s shutdown.
