Avro RJ100 5A-FLB (msn E3234) of Air Libya has apparently been damaged when rival militias battled for control of Tripoli’s airport in mid July. Shelling and gunfire resulted in several aircraft being completely destroyed — including an Afriquiyah Airbus A330 and a Libyan Arab Bombardier CRJ00 — and others damaged to various degrees. The extent of damage suffered by 5A-FLB is unknown. Even if she is repairable, continued unrest may make it difficult to do so.
