Canada’s Summit Air has taken delivery of its second Avro RJ85, C-FERJ (msn E2290 ex G-CHFR/OO-DJR). A former Brussels Airlines aircraft, she has been in storage at Southend since March 2012. She received post-storage maintenance by Inflite earlier this year, and was rolled out in early May. After several test flights in late May, she was registered in Canada and departed Southend on 8 June, arriving in Edmonton the following day. She entered service on 10 June, from Edmonton to Yellowknife and on to Norman Wells and Inuvik. She is operated on behalf of First Air, in that airline’s colors.
