The sad remnants of BAe 146 ZS-SBD at Lanseria (Andre Kok)

BAe 146-200 ZS-SBD (msn E2053), who had been stored at Lanseria since 2010, has been broken up. She had last flown for Gabon’s Nationale Regional Transport as TR-LIR, returning to Lanseria in July 2010. Following the collapse of African Airline Investments (AAI), she remained parked at Lanseria, still in NRT colors, in an increasingly derelict state. She was moved to the scrapping area in November 2013, but survived there for several more years before being finally broken up on late April. She had been the last of Lanseria’s once numerous resident BAe 146s.
