Tez Jet Avro RJ85 EX-27005 (msn E2305) suffered an uncontained failure of its number 1 engine on 1 March, while operating flight TEZ107 from Bishkek to Batken. Video taken by a passenger shows the left outboard engine’s nozzle tilted considerably off axis, and the aft part of the engine cowling shredded. The crew shut down the engine and returned safelt to Bishkek. There were no injuries among the 96 people on board. Tez Jet operates two former Ellinair RJ85s that it acquired in 2017.
