BAE Systems has won a contract from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to support the Royal Air Force’s Command Support Air Transport (CSAT) fleet of four BAe 146s. The CSAT fleet includes two 146 CC2s in VIP configuration and two 146 CC3s quick-change variants. It is operated by 32 (The Royal) Squadron from RAF Northolt. Under the contract, BAE Systems and partner Serco will ensure that at least three of the four aircraft are available for tasking each weekday morning, and at least two each weekend. The contract is worth UKP42 million, and runs from 1 March 2018 through 2022, with an option to extend it for one or two years.
