The first three cadets of Jota’s new training program (Jota Aviation)
Jota Aviation is launching a pilot cadet program to help meet its flight crew needs. The program trains low-flight time pilots to become commercial airline pilots. The program includes ground training, emergency and safety training, examinations and simulator assessments, ultimately leading participants to become type-rated First Officers flying on Jota’s fleet of Avro RJs. The first three cadets under the program were accepted in December 2018. As the in-service BAe 146 and Avro RJ dwindles, finding type-rated crew has become increasingly challenging.
