WDL Aviation‘s contract to operate a BAe 146-200 on behalf of Flybe on routes between the United Kingdom and Germany came to an end on 30 August. D-AMGL (msn E2055) has been operating for Flybe since 1 August, generally flying two or three roundtrips a day. When some technical problems put her behind schedule on 12 August, sistership D-AZFR (msn E2108) stepped in to cover a Düsseldorf to Manchester roundtrip (BE 7210/7213). D-AMGL’s last service for Flybe was BE 1408/1409, to London City and back on 30 August, after which she returned home to Köln. Her return means that D-AWUE (msn E2050) is the only WDL 146 currently employed: she continues on lease to Slovenia’s Adria Airways.
